Rocket & Groot Sketches (Patreon)

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I've been working on writing my third and final(?) Spidey team-up book this week, a fun space adventure that'll feature the Guardians of the Galaxy. Of those featured Guardians, looks like Rocket and Baby Groot are [so far] going to get the most book time.

Usually I figure out most of my character designs directly on the page, but because I had a feeling Rocket might give me a slight headache to get right (I tend to struggle with anthropomorphic forms), I thought I'd spend a few hours doing some rough sketches of him to hopefully save me some trouble down the road. Happy I did. I think I have a better handle on him now.

I haven't shown these to my publisher yet, so there's a good chance his design will change some for the actual book, but it's a good start. I might do a quick single-pose lineup of the other GotG too and I'll share those once I get around to them.
