It's Hayao Miyazaki's birthday today! So I thought I'd warm up this morning by drawing some Totoro. We've got these furry spirit trolls all over our house in various toys and stuffies and artwork so it felt good to finally scratch that itch and draw them myself. Thought I'd also utilize the (somewhat) new video embed feature on this platform and share a short time-lapse of it for y'all.

I can't underestimate the impact Miyazaki's work has on my own. Every single one of his features absolutely entrances me; inspiring me to create, spread hope and take time to enjoy the world around me.
