Good Morning (from my hospital bed) (Patreon)

Hi, my friends! I wanted to apologize for the lack of new art this week. Long story short, Tues afternoon I started having some belly pains which intensified so much into the night that I ended up going to an urgent care the next morning to get it checked out. Another ER and a few doctors later I ended up in the hospital for an appendectomy, of which the surgeon decided was not needed afterall BUT something else was clearly wrong with me.

GOOD NEWS, likely due to being hooked up to antibiotics for 60hrs, I no longer have any pain.

BAD NEWS, it is now Friday morning. I am still at the hospital, and the staff still doesn’t know what’s wrong with me. Hopefully they find out today and I get to go home but I have no idea. I choose the above image (from the limited ones on my phone) because I feel like Babs up there. Stuck here waiting while the nurses and doctors (who’ve actually all been very nice) do their thing. I am also sooooooooo famished as I haven’t been allowed to eat anything but liquid for almost three days now. Just feeling mentally and physically depleted. Yay fasting. 😒

Anyways, I felt like I owed you guys an update as I don’t know how much longer I’ll be here. Hopefully not much since my medical bills have accumulated to… well let’s just say I probably could have used those funds to travel abroad or buy a new car instead. Thankfully that’s one of the main reasons I have this Patreon. So when expensive surprises arise like this, it’s not a total blow. Which is me saying I really appreciate your patronage on here. Hopefully I’ll be back to the Cintiq and have some new stuff to share with you soon.

For someone who is otherwise generally very healthy, this has been a pretty weird season for me.
