For the first time ever, GN will be working with an Alphacool product! We're excited to see how the Alphacool Eiswolf GPX-Pro performs on the bench. Thanks to GN viewer 'Eric,' we're able to put this cooling system to the test. This would not be possible without you, Eric, so thanks for the loaner!

The product is a completely contained cooling solution for GPUs. This one is built for the GTX 1080, so we'll stick it on our FE card and see how it performs versus our in-house solutions, how it handles VRM temps, and how it compares vs. the EK WB cooler.

Speaking of EK WB and their predator, the Alphacool Eiswolf uses QDC (quick disconnect) valves, so it can ready loop into an existing semi-AIO solution. That means we won't have to add liquid (it already contains the usual propylene glycol), and it'll just 'work' once all connected.

This will be a fun DIY project. I'm thinking that we'll film the build process, but will also be doing the usual benchmarking procedures.

Very excited about this benchmarks for this project! I am looking forward to seeing how the data comes out.

- Steve.

Anyone else thinking about how to mount fans above those fins? I need a cheaper hobby...

I think the radiator is not present in the picture. That's just the cooler and leaning against the box is the top shroud. I think. Not sure.
