I live in NY and I can't wait to leave. Some upstate counties are lenient with concealed carry permits, but you have to give them a special reason why you need to carry. A few sheriffs upstate don't enforce the NY Safe Act that Cuomo put in in 2013 because they don't get any funding from Albany. But the real reason why they don't enforce it because its unconstitutional.

That’s funny what constitutes a “special”reason.... I would say defending myself, my family, defending my right to live (a God given right), defending our freedom to chose if I want to be mugged or not - the idiots in the courts of theirs don’t they, mansion with guarded gates/security and cámaras all over for their safety.
