US President Joe Biden obviously has "deterioration going on" and has had a recent "scary moment," according to NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham.

The White House has been forced into damage control after President Joe Biden seemingly forgot the name of his own Defense Secretary during an event to mark International Women's Day.

Speaking after unveiling two more nominees to fill his cabinet, the president failed to remember the name of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

Mr Latham said the US President "is not up to the job". "He's not in control of his faculties. The guy's obviously got a deterioration going on," Mr Latham said.

"It's a scary moment, I think for him to be the leader of the free world".

"I agree," Ms Credlin said.
