my best advice to you SIHON is to get a concealed carry permit esp if you live in AL. you can get 1 for a 5 yr period. it is recognized (reciprocity) in 37 states including TN. If you dont have one or not enough time, then you can transport via locked safe/case. most states require a 2 step process (step 1: place magazine into magazine well, then step 2: would be to chamber a round) or a separation of ammo and firearm. you have to check the specific states for their laws. these are generalities.
