What the heck is a kink concierge? (Patreon)

In response to our emergency fundraising emails last week, I got a great question from a customer. 

"What are kink concierge services?" 

I was grateful for the question, and thought I'd share the answer here, since this is the work YOU are supporting.

Great question -- glad you asked. 

One of our biggest missions is to help people explore the kink community safely -- operating a coffee shop is how we do that. So all of our baristas are trained on how to navigate the community. They can tell you about the local playspaces, leather groups, organizations and other toy stores in town. They can recommend instructors for specific BDSM skills. They can help folks find the perfect book in our little bookstore, or choose a toy that's right for them. Our goal is to help folks connect with resources to become safe, educated players. And of course we have our "propaganda" area with flyers for local groups and events. 

It's not just kink, either. We help a lot of queer/ trans folks connect with everything from jobs to mental health resources. We provide "support coffee", which is pre-paid coffees we give out to the local unhoused and other folks who just need a hot drink and don't have spare cash. We offer a valuable meeting space for local groups.
