One of our biggest goals for the Wicked Grounds Patreon is increasing our kink education & community building. So we're very happy to announce several returning and new classes in the works. 

The return of KINK 101 

Wicked Grounds is proud to announce that Mir's KINK 101 series is returning to Wicked Grounds, with three of our classes being held Friday, Sept 21 - Sunday, Sept 23.

Even more exciting -- we are finally going to tape the BDSM Negotiation Basics class to release as a Patreon & YouTube video for kinksters everywhere. YES! 

Friday, Sept. 21 7-9pm: KINK 101: Building Out Your Toybag gives an insider's look at selecting the best books & toys at Wicked Grounds and several other best-in-class local and online stores, as well as out to make (or pervertable) your very own toys. This class was originally designed to teach our staff how to help customers with shopping here and navigate other stores, but we are offering a limited number of seats on a first-come, first-served basis for customers who would like to join us!

Sunday, Sept 23 12:30-2:30: KINK 101: Welcome to Wicked Grounds! An Intro to SF Kink. This Kink 101 class gives you the basics on the San Francisco BDSM scene, and is perfect whether you're new to kink,want to learn more about local BDSM play and education, even just want to know what the heck happens at a kink cafe. This session is perfect for folks who are making their first brave steps into the San Francisco kink scene, including all of the organizations, venues and shops you might want to check out, and how to make the most of them!

Sunday, Sept 23 3-5pm: KINK 101: BDSM Negotation Basics.

Negotiating is a critical skill for building BDSM scenes, dynamics and relationships that work. But negotiating doesn't necessarily come naturally -- especially for those of us who are just entering the kink scene. Join us for a Kink 101 session on how to negotiate for exactly what you want in BDSM scene and relationships. We'll talk about:
- Negotiation styles
- Pre-scene negotiations
- How to negotiate without killing the mood
- Checking in during and after the scene
- Negotiating and check-ins for ongoing BDSM dynamics

For all classes, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the class start time to get food and drinks and get settled in before we start. All class attendees will also receive 10% off any books, toys or other gear purchased on the day of the class!

Mir's caning workshops at SoJ BDSM Basics 

Society of Janus launched a new "BDSM Basics" workshop for the first Saturday of each month starting in April 2018, and it's had great response! Each workshop offers participants the chance to take part in two out of four 45-minute hands on workshops to build their skills in everything from rope, flogging and rough body play to specialized skills like electric play, caning, clothespins, and more. 

On Saturday, October 6th, Mir will be returning to teach a hands-on caning workshop. You'll learn the principles of using your tools, strength and technique to get a wide range of sensations out of any cane. Find out more about the workshops and RSVP here.  

We're also planning to film a quick 5-minute Theory of Caning video for our Patreon & YouTube, so look for that later this year. 

And . . . Dark Odyssey Surrender! 

Wicked Grounds has been vending at Dark Odyssey Surrender since 2014, and we are thrilled that Mir will also be teaching Sex Magick for Kinksters at this year's conference. (Weirdly, Mir has been teaching on magick topics for over a dozen years, and teaching on kink topics since owning the Grounds, but didn't combine the topics till this year!)
