lucky (Patreon)

sketches for the slime gardener, lucky! trying to draw differently, focusing my time here on sketches and will be making another page of these at least before settling on anything.

im not super good at drawing, i know a lot of technical stuff but my choices when drawing rarely lead me to the life and story i want out of my work. i want to try to focus less on painting and technical stuff and more on drawing going forward on the patreon, not trying to get super clean drawings but trying to get more life out of my work while retaining the appeal it currently has and then maybe cleaning it up a bit. this sounds like it would be easier but in my experience getting life out of a drawing is like pulling blood from a stone and the cleaner something gets the less life it tends to have. out of these sketches i think the only one that really has some life to it is the top middle and its the one i arrived at by just scribbling around and pulling something out of the lines instead of going in with an intention. the one right below it is decent too. the rest arent bad drawings mind you, just i dunno, they dont have that extra bit to them. 

this isnt to say i want to stop painting, and the nsfw piece will still probably always be painted, just that i dont know if i want that to be my main direction anymore. dunno, still thinking about all of it. let me know what yall think and thanks so much for the continued support!
