3 Different Techniques (Patreon)

Hey ya'll!

These are very rough sketches trying out 3 different techniques of the same image, all using the same general color palette. On the left, I used a 2 value setup, on the right I used a 3 value setup and in the middle I used my normal sort of organic setup similar to this month's illustration, though closer to a 2 value. The big difference between these and my normal work is that I put the color down into each value before flattening the piece in an effort to help the colors mix better. I'm fond of the left one for it's simplicity, but generally I feel like none of these are a great approach for me. I'll keep experimenting, but for right now I'm going to stick to what I've been doing. If ya'll have any questions about any of it let me know and thanks again!
