Hey ya'll! SPINEL!

I wanted to try showing ya'll some of the progress shots as I complete them this month. This is the rough sketch, I'm always just focused on composition, depth and story telling here while keeping in mind where my values will end up going. I like to stay super loose with these and it can take me several failed attempts before coming up with something I like. This is actually the fifth version of the image, and even after deciding on this one I had to make a lot of changes to get it feeling right.
