Currently in pvp if you switch to a non-artifact weapon from an artifact weapon, then back to the artifact weapon, there is a jump in stamina. In most cases this is temporary (see this post for tanks on how to make it permanent https://www.patreon.com/posts/8754186). The exact duration of the effect varies but it is generally no more than a few seconds.

Because the effect is temporary I initially discounted it: but on closer examination this has a number of important uses. Any effect that works on the basis of your maximum health, whether damage, healing or absorption can be exploited using this trick.

I tested this:

Resto Shaman, cast "Gift Of The Queen", normally heals me for 157297 HP, with weapon switch 196621 HP.

Outlaw Rogue, use crimson vial, normally each tick heals me for 44310HP, with weapon switch 46636HP.

These are just  illustrations of the switch effects, not particulary strong ones. Tanks will get the strongest effects, though there is some potential for amazing bust dps with abilities like Holy Wrath and Touch Of Karma. There are a large number of ways to glitch this, many useful ones and some quite likely to be gamebreaking.

Because of the sheer scale of the possibilities here rather than test every single one of them (which could take weeks) I thought I would explain the general principle and let you guys see how to optimize the exploit with your individual specialist class knowledge.

This glitch has enormous potential in rated play since it would be very difficult to detect.
