Simple But Effective (semi-AFK) Gold Farm (Patreon)

Currently the most effective pvp gear in the game is items bought with bloody tokens which are obtained from world pvp honor kills.

As a result of this massive world pvp fights are currently happening. There is an easy way to profit from this:

1. Using group finder join a group mentioning "bloody tokens". There is a max size of 5 players for this to work so only join groups with 4 or less players.

2. Go somewhere in relatively close proximity to the fracas but out of the way. 

3. You will accumulate bloody tokens and honor points. 

This is one of the best afk farms I can remember. During peak times you will get a lot of bloody tokens and honor. These can both be used to buy weapons and armor from the vendors in the gladiator's sanctum in Valdrakken, which you then equip to remove the 2 hour buyback window, and vendor for raw gold. During peak periods you may be able to get over 5000 gold equivalent from doing this, if you have no other use for the currency.

It is debatable whether this is truly an afk opportunity for a few reasons:

1. It is difficult to find a place which is completely out of the way and other players will not find you for long periods.

2. Currently there is no working afk macro so you will have to check your character periodically.

3. The group's existence varies in duration. I joined one yesterday which lasted six hours, but sometimes they can collapse quite quickly.

That said you can quite easily do something else on your computer and check back every 10 minutes or so for a few seconds, your effort can be almost literally limited to a few key presses per hour. 

The fights usually take place near a pvp world quest.
