Skipping Trash While Gold Farming Using Lag (Patreon)

(This strategy works in retail and classic, but is probably most useful to those of you trying to gather up enough gold for epic flying/general perks in WOTLK classic right now).

In classic dungeons such as Stratholme there are a number of mobs with truesight-this is to prevent classes with stealth going through the dungeon quickly and focusing on opening chests and killing rare mobs. 

Here is a way for any class, not just stealth users to by pass trash. Induce lag in some  way, eg download this useful program*:

(or you can just pull out your modem cable for 8 seconds, for the more suspicious. )

Once lag is activated your character essentially teleports to the location they move to during the maximum 8 second duration before disconnecting. 

This allows the player to access chests, rares and bosses without having to fight the intervening trash packs of NPC's. The rares in Stratholme for example can drop up to 12 gold's worth of epic items and can be killed in seconds by a decent geared player. 

Not all classes significantly benefit from this: eg mages and paladins have excellent aoe damage and should kill everything. But single-target specialists will find their profits from gold-farming increasing by 25-100% using this method.

* This program was uploaded but not written by me. The original creator posted it on ownedcore some years ago and vanished. I have never had any problems using this program, nor has any one who has used it when I linked to it in the past, but it is probably a good idea to check it with your own personal antivirus software.
