Hunter/Warlock Pet/Minion Damage Exploits, WOTLK Classic And Retail (Patreon)

I recently discovered two exploits that can be used by player minions in both versions of the game so it seemed like a good idea to publish at the same time.

1. WOTLK Classic "Mutated Blood" Exploit

The classic exploit is simple. Go to the Fetid Pool in Shadowmoon valley. Have your pet or minion tank the mutated horrors. They have a stacking ability which they cast periodically which does damage but also increases the damage of the target by 10% per stack up to 100%.  The pet can then be dismissed and recalled when you need the extra damage, you use a different pet/minion in the interim.

You will need to heal the pet/minion using your appropriate class ability to prevent it dying during application of the stacks.

2. Retail "Fel Sludge" Exploit

The retail exploit involves the use of the hunter's "Wild Kingdom" ability.

This summons a tenacity pet while the pet you were using is rested and healed for 10 seconds. In Tanaan Jungle, Draenor there are pools of green "fetid sludge"

everywhere. If you stand in the pools you get a stacking debuff of 5% increased damage stacks nine times up to 45%. If the sludge ticks 10 times you die instantly.

You can place your pet in the pool and dismiss it. When you re-summon the pet the sludge begins ticking again. You can re-summon your pet anywhere including things like arena and mythic dungeons which normally remove this type of effect. The problem is the pet dies at 10 stacks.

With Wild Kingdom the tenacity pet only appears for 10 seconds, so if you apply fel sludge to a tenacity pet there is not enough time for the pet to die from the ticking stacks when using the ability. 

You will need to use mend pet on the tenacity pet in-between summons using it for dps, as the fel sludge does do damage to the pet.
