(EDIT: I have marked this as non-viable, in that while I have got this to work it does not seem practical for patreons to reproduce it reliably, if at all.)

There have been many reports of a method being used apparently by a Chinese exploiter where an anima power within Torghast is somehow taken out of that instance and used in other content such as mythic dungeons and raids.  There has been a considerable amount of disinformation and many incomplete or inaccurate methods have been posted publicly.

The following method comes from this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eHeENmfP6s&t=443s&ab_channel=CeliaCrumin

and appears to be the correct one:

1.  Form a group with two characters only.

2. The second member must be of the opposite faction to the leader. eg with a Horde party leader you must have an alliance character as the second party member.

3 The second team member must be a warlock, unholy death knight or hunter as we need to glitch out a player pet/minion.

4. Your team should complete The Jailer's Gauntlet version of Torghast up to the final boss of layer 8.    Depending on their class they should pick up  a number of anima powers which increase the size, damage, and health of their pet/minion.

5. The secondary player should use alt+f4 to automatically close the game.

6. When the second player goes offline the party leader should kick the second player.

7. Wait one minute and then have the secondary player re-log. The secondary player should then go through two teleport screens and spawn outside Torghast in the lobby, with the relevant anima powers still active on their pet/minion.

There is no obvious trigger for the removal of the anima power once glitched, it seems to survive log-out death and other factors.

I am extremely grateful to those who helped me with this exploit: I almost literally went slightly mad trying to track the source of the technique.

I wonder if this stays on as you enter rated arenas.

Is the step in the video regarding standing in the null zone of the vendor not important?

So I am doing this with a friend right now, and I can manage to get the pet out with ~500k hp, but then it immediately goes back down to normal. I refuse to believe they patched this in 5 hours since you posted this lol

Sam L

I genuinely think it has been patched, I have managed to get the pet out with differing amounts of increased health, but after roughly 10 seconds of being outside of torghast, the pet goes back to normal health

Are you doing this with a party member that is opposite to the faction leader? That step is critical. That aside there is a timing element as to whether it sticks. Btw I doubt any patch that may or may not occur is relative to this article, it is more likely to be relative to the bug reports on the official forums.

I also do with a party member of the opposite faction and it also gets removed after around 10 seconds while staying outside, unless you keep dismissing and resummoning it. However, if you enter Torghast then it will stick.

Sam L

Yes I was doing it with an opposite faction party leader.

Sam L

and does it stick after you leave that torghast? or do the party leader kick thing again?

Anonymous

It sticks even after leaving normally. But after that 10 second timer outside it disappears. Ran around with a 19.5M hp Felguard in Torghast since it kinda stacked on itself.

Sparkle

I can also get it out of torghast but after roughly the same timer the health disappears as well. Tried using eye of kilrogg to see if that helped keep it but it did not work. Going to try dismiss next and kill myself as soon as I come out as well

It might be worthwhile trying to glitch this just at the entrance as I seem to be able to get the buff to persist with some luck-but of course a single or a few stacks of Vittle's etc isn't that much use. I'm gonna mark this as non-viable at least for the time being, ty very much for all your feedback.

It never kept the buff for the Felguard as far as I know and was not able to stack the Infernal Intimacy as I was able to now.

I think it may be better to kill the network socket or the process for the game, seems to be a better chance of success. But my procedure is: move out of the vendor area, have the lead kick the lock immediately after closing the game, lead STAYS in the instance group, wait 60-90s to relog on the other character, get two load screens about 50% of the time to temporarily get it outside, and then I leave instance group on the lead. Wondering if it's better to make a macro to kick the other from the non-instance group after you kick from the first.

Sparkle

Have you been able to get the buff to stick to you yet?

I shared this video (although hosted on different platform) in the community section. Not sure why the post got deleted there. Anyways, I haven't tried it in a week but last week I had 100% success rate multiple times for warlock pet. It was not required to go up to the last layer although you might want to do that as the buff increases as you do. You also don't need to use necessarily the anima powers that you buy, it can be also the ones that drop. One thing to note - the warlock/hunter whatever you want to buff up is not allowed to buy any anima powers from vendor. It has to be the leader that doesnt have the pet. Also important note is for the leader to stay in the thorghast when the lock/hunter goes offline and gets kicked. There are 2 parties, one from outside of torghast and one from inside, when you stay in torghast, the original party persists which I think might be related to why its able to carry out the buff. and obviously, do this only with opposite faction characters.
