Priest-Fly Through The Air With Glitch (Patreon)
Content
A couple of years back the priest ability Divine Ascension was introduced. This is a level 22 pvp talent that propels the priest into the air in angelic form and allows them to cast while floating back to the ground.
Recently on the official bug report forums there have been two posts about priests using this to glitch out of bounds in pvp. The posts did not include details, but clearly something is wrong with the ability.
I managed to recreate the exploit: activate divine ascension and use the following macro:
/cancelaura divine ascension
It is important to use this near the start of the ascension or it will not work. If you use it at the zenith of the jump, which might seem more logical, it does not work. (I actually tested this macro when the ability was introduced and missed the opportunity because I was activating it too late).
Now what do you do with this?: when you use the cancel macro you will need some form of thrust, ie something to move you forward, or you will just fall back down. The macro just gets you out of the pacified state where you can't use anything but holy spells.
A goblin glider can be used mid-air (tested), which will work in random battlegrounds and war mode. For arena there are multiple reports that racials such as goblin rocket jump and void elf rift in space will work (untested). *Apparently these abilities can allow the player to simply fly out of the instance-one report suggested that priests can use leap of faith to take a partner with them.
*Normally I would test this but I do not have a void elf/goblin priest ready-made. When I have levelled one I will update the article. EDIT: Mark has verified this in a comment below this article.
