Bugged Vendor Gold Items In Legacy Raids (Patreon)

In Shadowlands have heavily nerfed raw gold in all legacy raids up to Legion. This has made running old raids much less lucrative.

However two old raids in particular have an item which has not been scaled down at all which still drops frequently, Heart Of Fear and Terrace Of Endless Spring.

Armor tokens from these raids named "Gauntlets/Shoulders/Helm etc Of The Shadowy Vanquisher/Protector etc" award a flat 50 gold, comparable with the vendor prices of the vendor prices of armor and weapons pre-Shadowlands. Up to 3 can drop from a single boss. 

These items alone make these old raids worth running for those focused on raw gold as the speed with which you can complete them makes them similar to the gold on a minute-for-minute basis that you can get from the once a day covenant callings.

Additionally, the neck pieces, rings and trinkets do not seem to have been scaled down.

All of Terrace should be run-it is still a very efficient instance to run. Only the last three bosses of Heart Of Fear drop tokens-however the trash in the lower chambers drop a lot of extra gold and motes of harmony so the first three bosses are well worth doing 

Similar armor tokens to the shadowy ones exist in Throne of Thunder also-the problem being that the bosses that drop these aren't easily accessible efficiently through LFR or (in the case of Terrace Of Endless Spring which is near to the LFR access Lorewalker Han offers in the Seat Of Knowledge above Mogu'shan Palace) via its physical entrance portal.

Glove Token – Council of Elders (3rd boss)

Leg Token – Ji-Kun (6th boss)

If you are trying to do this efficiently I'd recommend the first two via LFR. The Lorewalker Han option is "Tell me of Lei Shen's Pinnacle Of Storms". 

Additionally it is worth bearing in mind that the value of pets that drop from older raid bosses has risen very significantly since the raw gold nerf. The reason is that fewer people are running the old raids, and these pets will now significantly increase your hourly profits. Although pets can take a while to find a buyer I was surprised how many I have managed to sell over the last few years.
