Enormous Damage Bonus For Casters (40-60) (Patreon)

Jeremy C sent me this via youtube:

 If you do the tribute event in gordok commons(North Dire Maul), the boss npc that is frozen in the ice trap will grant you a crazy buff that increases your spell crit by 800%!!!!! Players above level 60 are not able to get this crit buff, but it does last 2 hours. Takes about 5 mins if your ran through with a high level player. Very few people know about this little trick, so best use it now before its hotfixed.  Here is the buff info on wowhead: https://www.wowhead.com/spell=22820/slipkiks-savvy#comments The value says 4200 on website, but its actualy 7200 crit rating in-game. 

I am testing this currently in-game. More to follow shortly.

UPDATE: Had some difficulty actually getting this to work. Apparently what you do is this: run through on a high-level character and make sure you leave Guard Slip'Kik alive. When you kill the final boss an ogre npc runs up and when you speak to him you become king of dire maul. This turns npc's friendly and you can now speak to Slip'Kik and receive the op buff. This does not work on players above level 60 as Jeremy says: I'm guessing the reason it didn't work on my level 31 paladin is that when you examine the buff in question on wowhead it clearly states "requires level 50", so it seems to only work in the 50-60 bracket EDIT no, new info from Veric (see comment below), works from level 40.

You may stun Slip'Kik in the ice trap if you wish or bypass him using any other method: it doesn't seem to make any difference.

The destruction warlock's "Chaos Bolt" damage is increased by crit chance, whether this buff impacts that I don't yet know but I'll be leveling a fresh warlock to test the theory.
