A particular issue with the new pace of levelling in 8.0 has been low xp in the 68-80 bracket, so I've been focusing on angles there. Blizzard do seem to have comprehensively limited xp in most pve areas, with pet battles and random bg's looking attractive by comparison.

One dungeon I investigated is Magister's Terrace. Magister's Terrace has a large number of friendly NPC's at the entrance representing the Shattered Sun faction. Like most NPC's in dungeons they are simply to offer quests and create ambience, they aren't supposed to do anything.

However, I noticed when attempting to solo this dungeon on normal mode that if you kite hostile npc's towards these friendly npc's then occassionally some attacks will bring the friendly npc into combat. These attacks tend to be cleave attacks which are supposed to affect more than one player.

By dragging enemy NPC's to the starting area I found it relatively easy to solo the trash-but it really gets interesting with the first boss, Selin Fireheart. If you argue him with a ranged attack or taunt from outside the room he resides in, then fight him for a few seconds, he will then run off and begin absorbing power from a crystal. During this time run back towards the entrance, eventually after some roleplay,  he will follow you.

When he gets into range green fire will pulse from you and the Shattered Sun NPC's. All of them will then run out of the starting area, engage Fireheart and kill him.

This strategy also allows you to engage the flying wyrm mobs in front of Vexallus which are a good source of XP being easy to kill and offering a damage bonus.

I did not find it practical and/or efficient to kill Vexallus, so i generally reset the dungeon at this point.

Depending somewhat on class, gear and skill this is an attractive alternative to questing and LFD at this level, especially when combined with queing for random battlegrounds.

I've noticed that other friendly dungeon NPC's outside Magister's Terrace can be pulled into battle so there may be a better opportunity somewhere for those who like to make their own discoveries.
