One of the most  popular posts here was the method http://www.patreon.com/posts/15785334/  , which explains how to use shaman far sight/rogue stones to scan Dire Maul for a rare item which sells for 10K gold, thereby avoiding having to run through the dungeon-which is very time-consuming.

Running through the Shadow Labyrinth dungeon in Outland I noticed a khorium vein had spawned. Khorium is an extremely rare spawn: you can farm it in outland for an hour without finding any: it takes the place of any adamantite node.

My thinking was that most of the time Khorium would not spawn in this dungeon normally as it does not in the rest of outland. Most of the time the khorium node I was looking at would be adamantite, rich adamantite or simply wouldn't spawn at all.

However, if I put a shaman at the entrance I could use far sight and scan through the dungeon quickly to check for khorium. If I saw one I'd go and farm it. If not I'd leave the instance and reset it. Bear in mind because of its rarity Khorium is extremely valuable, one ore is worth 924 gold and 2-8 of them can be found in each node not to mention other valuable items like the BC motes.

(Note if your shaman doesn't have mining you can form a group with any character which does, even on the same account).

While using far sight is quite lucrative, there's an even faster method for priests. In any instance any mob can be targetted by the use of the command /tar. The khorium vein I had seen was next to the ogre, Blackheart The Inciter. By using the command /tar blackhearth the inciter (work it into a macro, you'll be using it a lot), then casting mind vision you can check instantly whether a khorium vein has spawned.

One vein also spawns sometimes next to Grandmaster Vorpil, you can also check this area quickly.

As with Far Sight, the priest can leave and reset the instance if a khorium vein hasn't spawned. On a time investment basis this is one of the best ways to make gold in the game. I've used a very conservative measure in the title because of the enormous variation in pricing around Khorium-on a high demand realm you could be looking at 100K per hour.

The problem as you've probably already guessed is that this can't be done continuously since you will hit instance cap. For that reason I generally work it into one of a portfolio of gold making plays I have which can only be done for short period but yield high returns.

Note that mind vision also works well with farms like the Dire Maul book-it is just a question of matching mob names to the spawn locations of the book or other item.

The generic fantasy term for methods such as mind vision and far sight is "scrying" (roguestones which you can sometimes find on the ah, very cheap, are also an option for other classes).

Scrying can be used to find rare nodes of khorium in outland generally, and also other profession items like golden lotus in Pandaria, much more efficiently than searching by physical travel. There are almost certainly other valuable items out there which can be farmed efficiently via scrying that I've yet to discover.
