LFR legacy instances such as Heart Of Fear have changed so that killing a boss does not prevent the boss and trash prior to the boss respawning after an instance reset. So for example the common strategy of clearing the trash up to the first boss and then resetting the instance in Heart Of Fear is no longer necessary. You can simply kill the first three bosses and farm the surrounding trash and reset.

The obvious advantage of this is that it gives you a much greater pool of trash to farm before instance lockout (still after ten resets). It also allows you to take boss loot-though this is once per boss only. Subsequent boss kills reward no loot. This is a consideration for undergeared players because boss kills are effectively downtime.

So, for example, a player in full mythic gear would  one-shot all the bosses in Heart Of Fear or Mogu'shan Vaults and all the trash to maximize their profits. A player who had just hit 110 might find that it takes longer to kill the boss than simply exit the dungeon and reset it. Of course eventually both will eventually make more gold by farming more trash over the course of an hour, but for short periods undergeared players may prefer traditional raid farming approaches.

So far the gold farming channels do not seem to have picked up on this and the market for items commonly farmed in legacy instances (for example the very lucrative spirits of harmony) do not reflect the adjustment. I cannot find a mention of this in any patch notes-it seems to have happened post-7.3 but I can't be sure.
