Best Gold Vendor Farm Exploit I've Ever Encountered (Patreon)

I'm quite proud to share this one with you guys. This exploit can be done with fresh class trial characters - a main rogue is not required.

This exploit will make between 20-30,000 thousand raw gold per hour. This is a very high amount for a raw gold vendor farm. 

In 7.2.5 Blizzard have a new quest chain involving Griftah the troll who has now been placed in the rogue class order hall. For those of you who have never played rogue Griftah is a recurring figure who sells fraudulent crap but also sells items of genuine value as a reward for pickpocketing rogues. 

This quest chain is very lucrative.  To exploit it we need to do the following:

1) Create a class trial rogue. 

2) Port out of the training area using our hearthstone to the faction capital.

3) Speak to Recruiter Lee in Stormwind (Alliance) or Holgar Stormaxe outside the gates of Orgrimmar (Horde). Click on the skip option to be taken to New Dalaran.

4) Send your class trial character 1000G and a  goblin glider from your main. Don't worry you'll get this back very quickly.

5) Complete the intro quest on reaching Dalaran-this triggers a courier from the rogue class order hall with a letter. Read the letter, explaining how to gain entry to the Hall Of Shadows (the rogue class order hall). Follow the instructions.

6) Enter the Hall Of Shadows, keep going straight on the main path to reach Griftah at the back. Griftah offers a quest which requires you to buy a lamp from him and an item to polish it. This will cost you 1000G, though it seems to be immediately refunded. What follows is one of those quick, bizarre clicking-on-increasingly-deranged-dialogue quest chains we love Blizzard for. It should only take a minute to complete.

7)  Get the quest I'll Take Those, Thanks!: Griftah , this requires you to pickpocket 10,000 coins of air for a quest reward of 4,999 gold. 10,000 sounds like a lot but individual pickpocket rewards can be up to 200 coins for a seconds work, so it shouldn't take much more than 10-15 mins to do this.

8) Your flight paths won't be active so it is a good idea to use the goblin glider to fly down to the Broken Isles. If there is a fel meteorite on the auction house that will make this faster. 

9) No one seems to agree on exactly where to pickpocket mobs. The best location I have found is the Eye Of Azshara due to the large cluster of mobs near the entrance. I pickpocket all the mobs near the portal up to the first boss, get my character killed (causing an instant rez at the portal), exit and reset till I have 10,000 coins. 

10) The first time you do this you'll want to set a hearth location near wherever you are pickpocketing. 

11) Use your Dalaran hearthstone and turn in the quest.

12) The quest is weekly so you can repeat the process without having to do the intro quests again.

13) Roll a new class trial rogue till you hit your limits.

Blizzard initially made the 4,999 gold reward repeatable on beta. However, they still do not seem to understand that class trials make time-gated restrictions on lucrative quest rewards pointless.

20-30,000 raw vendor gold is an extraordinary amount for a farm. There are ways to make more money but they usually involve a degree of fluctuation and risk, and frustrating downtime involving automation and auction house analysis. For this reason most players make gold by doing simple things like running old instances which don't make a seventh of the gold this exploit does.
