When the intensity finally subsided, Eva was panting and sweating, her body limp and spent. She vaguely registered Gage's voice as he seemed to be telling her something, but she couldn't quite make out what he was saying. It was like she was floating in a sea of sensations, completely lost in the moment.

When Eva came to, she was surprised to discover that she was lying in her bed, dressed in a fresh pair of pajamas. From the sensation of her skin, she could tell that she had been thoroughly bathed. The bed linen had also been changed, everything neat and tidy.

Where was Gage?

She sat up in bed and glanced at the clock. To her relief, it wasn't yet morning. But judging from the time, Gage must have departed some time ago.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a sudden awareness of something warm by her side. She reached out and placed her hand on the spot, sensing residual heat. Gage must have only just left!

Suddenly, Eva scrambled off the bed and dashed towards Gage's room, determined to see him one last time before he left. As she stood by his door, her hand instinctively reached for the doorknob, but she hesitated when she realized it was locked. Why did he lock the door? Did he anticipate that she would try to come to his room again?

Eva nibbled on her lip, deep in thought. Gage never locked his door when he went to bed, and she knew that from her countless mornings of barging in to wake him up. No one else would dare to do that but her. But now, seeing the locked door made her wonder if Gage had purposely locked it to keep her out.

She had chased him because well, She had wanted to do something for him after their mind-blowing experience, but if he didn't want her to, she would respect his wishes.

Her hand slowly fell to her side and, after a few seconds, she quietly walked away. The message was clear to her: Gage was truly serious about what he wanted, about his need to marry her.

Once inside her room, Eva stared at her small calendar. There were three more days before his deadline. Again, she couldn't even figure out why he would give such a deadline. But she wouldn't waste her brain cells trying to figure out anything about that matter anymore.

There was only one thing she wanted to think about right now. She needed to make a plan for when and where she would accept his proposal. Even though she had shown him how much she wanted him, it seemed like what Gage needed was a formal confirmation. He needed to hear her say it: that she was accepting his proposal.

If that's what he wanted, then she'd do it. But she couldn't just accept it randomly, right? Somehow, she couldn't help but feel anxious. Even though this wasn't the first time she was engaged, this one with Gage was completely different. Back when she and Julian were engaged, Eva didn't feel much. Though she liked Julian then, the engagement felt like nothing more than a business transaction.

But this with Gage... it felt like such a big deal to her. She wanted to do something to make the moment special. After staring at the ceiling and brainstorming for a while, Eva decided to take Gage on a date and then accept his proposal. But where? What place was good for such an occasion? She'd never taken a man on a date before. Was there any place that Gage liked? What interested him? Was he even interested in anything else besides her?

"Oh, God." Frustrated, she growled in annoyance. She couldn't believe she was going to accept his proposal and marry him, but she didn't even know what he liked!

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she realized once again that she didn't know anything about Gage. And yet, here she was, having made the decision and feeling certain of what she wanted: to give him what he needed and marry him.

AWWWWW seeing Eva think of taking Gage on a date has me feeling warm and fuzzy. I'd love for this to happen!

For her to decide to give him what he needs without knowing him means that she loves him no matter what.
