I've been stewing in the layered context and maddening tone of the story for the entire duration of pandemic, going from loving to hating to loving and then hating it again multiple times, ignoring its existence for months at end and STILL failing to finish the very last page of it - and at the very end of it all, I can't help but think that I am so hesitant to actually finishing it simply because of how much this process meant for me, one way or another, for almost two year now.
