I’m interested by how the tones (I believe you indicated on twitter that they were done by marker) ended up looking like zipatone once scanned. Is that some photoshop magic or did it just scan like that, for whatever reason? Regardless both versions look cool.

You just noticed it? :D This entire series is done like that (and my Souls zines) - I tone originals with grey markers, but then convert the tone into large-dotted screentones. I do this for some of my comics and commissions, too - I just like the presentation of black and white screentones in digital form (and later in print).

Well you perform miracles with markers anyway so it’s not like you need the real ones, as cool as they are. Perhaps you should save them for your upcoming Hades zine?

me too! I had a tiny sketch card with them on my desk for 2 months (I have these cards for almost anything good I do now - gotta show 'em in one of the future posts!)
