It might not look like a game changer, but I suddenly realized that one specific thing recently has been invading my work in a very aggressive and yet comforting way, and it all started around last December.

At the time I was thinking a lot about doing linocuts at some point in the future (and I actually dipped my toe in it later with CHERNOBYL logo), and the look - but not the technique itself - somehow leaked onto the panel above. I used my favorite jeans cloth texture in a more collage-y way and then inked the main foreground figures AROUND lineart instead of drawing the lines themselves. It's not even looking like any actual linocut, but it has the right vibe.

And I saw that it was pretty good.

Then, during following weeks of rushing to my deadline for the last issue of this book I started doing it again:

And again!

And then suddenly it was EVERYWHERE -

EEEVERYWHERE!

And the best part  about it (for me) is that this little thing is not something I intentionally or unintentionally stole from Toppi, or Harren, or Mignola, as I was used to (and continue doing, haha!). It's just a thing that became natural for me - maybe for a year until I grow tired of it, or maybe forever.
