Anyway - I think it's time to get back to our Russian illustrators endorsement!
Today I give you the great Gennady Spirin.
He's pretty popular on tumblr, Pinterest etc., so I'll only show you my faves of the faves:
Just check these two versions of Koschei:
(Weirdly enough, both versions designed to look VERY European - Teutonic, even - because we have a lot of issues with Germans)
And his Baba Yaga! Agh! <3
(ALMOST as great as my favorite version of the character by Hayao Miyazaki)
But Spirin also has this very boring Baba Yaga based on the Soviet fairytale movies (I can't stomach most of the shit that came out from the Soviet movies in visual department):
