I don't know how about you, but I'm loving everything about first strip here: this is the moment I was teasing in my twitter so many times as "some kinky furry shit" and chuckled to myself every time I remembered about it. And it is exactly what it looks like - a wolf is role-playing as a fox's watchdog for the sake of not wearing any clothes except for the nice spiked collar.

Fun fact: the "bow, bow/bow-wow" transition from the last page to this one fully exists only in English version. it bums me out, but sadly, Russian language is generally less suited for such coincidences. You can't have much second meaning in "гав-гав".

Also: THE MEED!

And also-also: Boris Karloff!

I adore this shot from "The Old Dark House". Karloff is literally a living drawing here, and it inspired the entire design for The Meed. His faces on the character sheet are mostly studies from the movie. I even cheated and repeated the same shot in the comics itself, but hey, other artists copy fucking memes in their books. At least Karloff was related to Hugo Pratt, and I've already aped Pratt on the very first page of this story (see "Jesuit Joe")!
