Concept drawings for the opening animation of my JFK video (Patreon)

Thought it might be fun to show you these concept drawings I came up with for the opening of my next video, which will be a conversation between these two colourful characters.

Also check out the schedule I made for getting this out! I have fun with my dry erase board. As you can see I’m a bit behind lol. I’ve done the shoot and the edit, just working on the animation now. Considering I am supposed to be working on the finishing touches and I haven’t even started the illustrations… If I can get back on track I’ll be impressed with myself.

The more animation I do the more I realize I love it. Not the animated process drawings I do, but like actual character animation. I’m using adobe animate and it’s such a powerful program- haven’t had the chance to play around with something like that since I was in high school with macromedia flash. I didn’t realize how much I’d missed it! So satisfying when you finally get every little detail perfect.

Wish it didn’t take so long! I have so far spent more time animating the first two minutes of this video than I normally spend animating/ illustrating the entire thing. Remember when I was going to try and get this video out before the new year? No idea what I was thinking lol. You’ll see when I release the short for you guys but I think I took my intro to another level this time.
