It is with a heavy heart that I announce since my last video came out late, my penance is at hand. Every time I miss a deadline, I must post something embarrassing so I can learn my lesson. Luckily, I’ve led an EMBARRASSING life so I still have plenty of things to show you guys. Like many of these “shame the goblin” posts this horrible moment from my dark past requires some explanation and context:

Remember Moombahton? No? It was a genre of EDM invented by some guy for his son’s birthday and it caught on in a relatively minor way. I was really into it for a while and remember listening to the moombahton “hits me like a rock” remix about 50 billion times. My familiarity with the music and lyrics can be witnessed in this shameful video.

I guess I came home black-out wasted one night about a decade ago and recorded a video of myself dancing to this with my computer webcam in glorious 480p. I don’t remember doing this but I remember the night leading up to it. My shirt shows a strong gorilla breaking its chains and lifting weights, and says “unleash the beast,” which I had tie-dyed ironically. It was Hawai’i night at the bar I frequented and somebody at the bar gave me a grass skirt which I guess I wore home. I thought at the time I was subverting masculinity but I was really just doing cultural appropriation. Apologies to my uces from Hawai’i

Anyway, I discovered this video about six months after it was recorded. I remember clearing space on my hard drive and being like “wait, wtf is this!?” Well, here it is for you, a little peek into “Chill Goblin: The College Years”. I’m going to do my best to get you all some real content to you soon so I can stop sharing these things ugh 😣

Humiliating Dillon Francis Music Video

What the hell is this? Here's the description I wrote for this video when I originally uploaded it a decade ago: "I used to think I become an amazing dancer when drunk. Then I saw this video... EXPLANATION: One night about six months ago, I got black out drunk at the bar, came home, recorded myself dancing to this song, and woke up the next morning likely with a terrible hangover and definitely without any memory of this video. About a month ago, I stumbled upon this video on my hard drive. Here it is, for better or for worse. I comfort myself in the knowledge that few people will have the patience to sit through the entire thing (it's over five minutes or something). F.A.Q.*: What song is this? It's the Dillon Francis remix of "Hits Me Like a Rock" by CSS. Didn't you read the title card? There was a week or so in September when I was totally obsessed with this song, listening to it on repeat. You can tell that I know the song really well in this video.
