This is the early storyboard for page 5 above that I drew saturday or sunday, I don't remember. This is also one of the reasons that I don't plan my storyboards long in advance like a real professional should (I mean I'm getting 200$ a month on patreon for these comics professionalism my assⒸⓄⓀⒷⓊⓂ).  Cos it's bad, granted this one wasn't planned in advance but yaknow it's an example of how bad I can storyboard when I'm not inspired and I'm definitely less inspired when I do a bunch in a row.

It might be hard to tell given the lack of details but yeh, it just doesn't pop. The first pose was fine enough but not super sexy, Luffy still was in bitchy mode instead of smiling which is out of character kinda-i-mean-none-of-this-is-canon-but-yaknow and the two panels of his head imply a pause in the action, the lower part isn't hot either on top of putting more focus on the wrong part, which is to say the "room" bit which is still in the final page but scaled down and the last panel will go to the next page, it's not here anymore.

So this is just a long way of saying that doing this shit is hard and that's why comics end up longer than I predict them to be (not this one, this is still and likely to remain a 12-13 page comic), cos conveying the right information doesn't mean making for a fun page to read. The «««story»»» moves along but there's no point in reading it. It's supposed to be hot and fun and instead it's just utilitarian, when the utility IS to be hot and fun.

Not sure this was any compelling to read but I thought it was worthwhile proably maybe.
