Occasionally (very occasionally) I do some standard illustration jobs. These were two spots I did for a local university. They wanted a guy leaping over a hurdle wearing a mortar board and holding a diploma like an Olympic torch. I decided not to ask if burning your diploma was the image they wanted to project, or point out that the torch ceremony takes place before the events, not during them. But if I'm so damn smart, how come I'm not the one hiring artists, right? Anyway, I whipped up a lively, cartoony one, and one that I pretty much lifted straight from the photo reference I found on Google.
