My Magical Matrimony (bg color) (Patreon)

I like using more painterly brushes for coloring, which can make it tricky to use separate layers for characters and backgrounds. But those brushes tend to have a degree of transparency, and there was no way I was going to do all the color in a single layer. My solution was to color the characters white on the bg layer. I don’t normally color the bg first, but I think it helps inform how I’m going to color and shade the characters.
