When you first boot up Kirby’s Adventure (NES, 1993], you are treated to a brief drawing lesson with a catchy tune,

First you draw a circle, then you dot the eyes, add a great big smile, and PRESTO! It’s Kirby!

This was also the first time Kirby was shown in-game in his intended pink color, as his two previous games (Dream Land and Pinball Land) had been on the Game Boy. The North American box art for his debut, Kirby’s Dream Land, erroneously colored him white. I like to think that’s why the Adventure intro has Kirby getting smacked twice with a paint brush for emphasis. Not simply because this was his first time on a color console, but also to ensure everyone got it right this time.

Anyway, I drew my rendition of the smack in question on stream because I’d been playing the first hour of Kirby and the Forgotten Land which is really really good.

When I was a kid, I thought the paintbrush he gets slapped with was a piece of cake and the handle was a candle. Also the way he's just got two streaks of pink on him reminds me of the Kirbo version of that sequence.
