Yeah, I just binged an anime on Netflix. Hi-Score Girl is the highly plausible story of a boy who becomes the object of affection of two girls by obsessively playing fighting games. It hits all the right nostalgia bones, since I remember the 90s arcade and home console scene well. I wasn’t a competitive player by any means. I was more into co-op, so Final Fight being featured heavily in the story made me happy. The season ends on a cliffhanger, but I hope it doesn’t last so long as to outstay its welcome. Info dump dialogue and being oblivious to crushes works in small doses.

Yeah, I’m guessing you mean the airport scene. Nobody has the capacity for sadness found in a Japanese voice actress. See also: the crying scene in Breath of the Wild. Go ahead, boot it up and play it in all the available languages. You will hear an array of European sobs and whimpers and one Japanese wail of unfathomable sorrow.
