I finally saw Suspiria (2018) last night. It may not get the style points of the 1977 original, but I’m glad the director went in an entirely different direction instead of trying to ape Argento’s style. The story utilizes its dance company (not actually a ballet school this time around) setting much more. It also spills the beans on it being run by a coven much earlier, allowing for twists I won’t ruin here. I give it three out of three Tilda Swintons.
