Shelley’s stuff worked, even if they didn’t gulp it down entirely on purpose! Even though the medication was only to stop the hypnotic effects, it still reversed the physical transformation a little bit, because (A) the magic and the hypnosis are interwoven, (B) making the face revert to normal is a good visual indicator of their mind doing the same, and (C) I don’t want to have to keep drawing beaks and chicken noises in the word balloons.
