Mickey Lane lost his parents at an early age in a traffic accident. Without any other relatives to take him, he was given over to the CPS system, who were unsuccessful in placing him with a family.

Mikey is a Senior at Bellview High School in Oakton, across the river from Iron Harbor proper. He is on the varsity Gymnastics team, and has won several trophies, as well as notoriety for his parkour skills. When Mickey turned 18 a couple of months before school started, he was kicked out of the CPS dormitories, rendering him homeless. He’s managed to stay with friends here and there, but he often resorts to sleeping in abandoned buildings.
