Well, Tumblr just kicked out all the adult content because of getting kicked out of the Apple Store or somesuch. So, that gets rid of what was at least a lot of fun and also served as a good place to post my stuff. 

Any suggestions as to where to post 'ads' and pics to publicize this place?

I saw the news of the Tumblr purge. It really sucks, but I guess there's nothing that can be done. You already have an established DeviantArt, so hopefully that's still getting you traction haha. Pixiv I think is worth checking out even though it's mostly Japanese users. It's mostly a challenge of playing the tagging game. Twitter could be worth checking out, though that loans itself much more to frequent updates.

I think from what I've seen a lot of other blogs do, the best move would be twitter, at least temporarily? It's much more adult content friendly and people can retweet and share your work so it can spread, so sorta like tumblr in that sense. It certainly lacks the better tagging system though. On the plus side, you can pin important stuff to the top of your page like commission info or your most recent comic. But anyways, wherever you decide to move your stuff, its' best to start sharing and posting on tumblr to warn people who only follow your work there
