Every night I talk to the kid who is away at college, and I never have anything interesting to say beyond the level of: "well, I took a walk and saw a squirrel."  I'm not doing anything interesting! I'm mostly sitting in my chair lettering comics and prepping the next Kickstarter campaign set up. That, and fussing about how one goes about finding anti-inflammatory low-fat recipes. Ugh. Meanwhile the kid is all "I went to class then I came home and cooked ramen." So we're a pair of fascinating conversationalists, we are.

Meanwhile the other kid is currently down in the International district watching lion dancers and sending me pictures of old CRT monitors and bins of dial-up modems for sale. There's apparently an old tech shop down there and it's fascinating.

Ok, here's Monday's page, and I'm actually getting Wednesday and Friday lettered so those will probably be along shortly. I'm not always this early, but this is one of those times when I will be.

Thanks everyone!

Easy, just grind half a dozen Advil into a bowl of cereal. Umm, I'll probably regret sticking my oar in, but this pushes one of my buttons. If you're really having daily phone conversations, you're kinda defeating the whole point of college, which is to get away from one's parents. If they're eager for the phone calls, that just shows that you have to be firm about rationing them. I'll shut up now.

There are cheaper ways to get away from one's parents than college.

No news is usually good news, these days. Van seems to have a knack for picking sidekicks...
