Girl Genius Comic for Monday, December 05, 2022 (Patreon)

Ha! I still need to come up with a name for this thing. To be honest I haven't given it a thought at all. I should do that. (No suggestions yet please, let us take a whack at it first. Our ideas may not be the best ones out there, but we do like them to be ours.) Especially since it's turning into something a lot longer than we planned. I'm enjoying it, so there's that.

My big news today is that I've recently connected with an old friend! Kim Beaton used to be a Seattle artist who did incredible sculpture for Wizards of the Coat, then moved to New Zealand to work on the Hobbit for WETA. She's been there ever since. She's one of the most classical "Mad Genius" type people I know (and that's saying something) and lately she's been directing her astonishing creative energy toward learning 3D rendering. You can see her first offering in what we hope will be a Girl Genius line of 3D printable figures on CGtrader.com.  I'm so pleased about this, and I hope that any of you with 3D printers will try it out!

I'm supposed to be going over to Spiderweb Software for their heavenly annual eggnog and goulash party, and I haven't even got dressed yet. At least I've had a shower, but then I sat down to get the page lettered, so I'm still sitting here in my robe. I'm also more behind than usual on my Christmas shopping, which is never fun. I'd meant to do it yesterday but only got the stuff for the relatives in New York. I suppose I'll do it tomorrow. 

We've been having snow! Nothing that sticks, mind you, but it's pretty.
