Well, this took a lot longer than I meant it to. I took forever to get Lucrezia's arrogant talky-talk hammered out. 

I'd better get it posted quick or it'll be late-ish again.

Uh oh. I have some theories about what Lucrezia could mean by that, and they don't end well for ANYONE.

"Some" theories? I thought that the way Lucrezia is reaching towards Dr Monahan in the last panel was meant to broadcast that she plans to possess Monahan's body to become a Queen. I'm curious what the other theories are.

That's currently my top theory. There are also secondary options that involve staking Monahan out as bait. But yeah, probably the first option.

I'm hoping at least one of them had the sense to pick up the equivalent of a stun baton when "Luci" wasn't looking. I could watch *whack* BBBZZZZZZZZT! *crash* happen for a page or so...

I have to say, it's been nice having Lucrezia on a losing streak here for a while, starting with the removal from Agatha's brain. "Heterodyne posse makes progress, but Lucrezia is one step ahead and turns it to her advantage again because of ancient secret whatever" got old. Agatha's crew have the lantern, a wider understanding of the temple, control of the mechanisms of the flame, a fully working mirror, and the element of surprise. If Lucrezia somehow manages to turn this into a win I'm going to be annoyed.
