"Let me help you." How reassuring! Surely this will solve all problems!

She IS getting into the traditional Mechanicsburg holiday spirit, though. 

Now I'm wondering about traditions at TPU. They probably have some good stuff over there as well.

Did you know that Girl Genius GURPS is nearly ready? Amazing, but true. It feels like it's been about, oh, I don't know, 17 years or so. I really do deserve to be chased through the streets.

I've imagined some very scary things in my lifetime. Some of my nightmares have been eerily similar to parts of Castle Heterodyne. (I do like that Castle Heterodyne has a sense of being able to actually hurt people with what it does, but with its attitude, that's really not as helpful as I'd expected it would be.) But I cannot imagine the sheer amount of danger that must be in the Mechanicsburg Ministry of Merriment. Just in case there is anyone it didn't occur to, given the attitude shift from normal, a large part of that is what other countries would call "the Department of Experimental Weapons", but I'm sure it also contains a good number that anyone in our world would consider too dangerous to consider making, let alone having.

I would guess everyone knew he wasn't the actual Heterodyne, and so they treated him gently. I'm not sure how Kaja managed to get out of this, but since she lived to tell us about it, I'm sure she managed somehow. :)
