The reason Nevil freaked out when they were doing the 3 unforgivable curses is explained in the movie (kind of). We learn that his parents were tortured by the very same curse at 2:00:35 which drove them insane. From this we can infer that Nevil was freaking out because he was probably thinking of how his parents suffered from the curse.

I'm pretty sure the KKK reference is actually intentional considering Voldemort's followers stand for blood purity. I always thought the allusion to nazis/KKK was pretty on the nose, but still executed well for what started out as a children's IP

OK SO THE BREAK DOWN. Harrys mum gave her life to protect harry from Voldemort, putting a kind of.... charm or curse on harry so Voldemort could never touch him. Thats why in the first movie when he put his hands on the guy with Voldemort on the back of his head, he burnt up. that was the spell harrys mum put on him to protect him. but they took Harrys blood in this episode to put in the pot, that revived Voldemort. That was there way of getting around the curse, and now he can touch him.

In the books, Hermione stayed with Harry, she was one of the few people who believed Harry didn't put his name in the goblet. In fact, she stayed up all night with Harry the night before the first task helping him master the summoning charm. So Idk why they made her stay away from Harry in the movie.

The movies just switch details up for no particular reason it seems. Just like the scene where Dumbledore asks Harry if he put his name in the goblet, in the books it’s described as him calmly asking Harry about it while in the movie he nearly loses his shit over it.

Just to clarify when Harry told Dumbledore about his dreams and Dumbledore said best to cast them away, he was trying not to worry harry. Hes trying to figure out what's going on. And when he pulled that memory from his head he wasnt casting it away he was actually saving the memory of what harry said to him. Bit confusing the way they did it though lol to be fair
