This is the last Harry Potter with this Dumbledore and this director. The Dumbledore actor died (I'm can't remember if that was before or after the 3rd film) and the director seemingly just likes to do 2 movies at a time. the whole love shield is like the ancient magic you see in the game you played, its not that love protected harry but his mothers love was so strong she made a mysterious spell so powerful that Voldemort couldn't kill him, and the spell still flows through harry's blood so Voldemort cant touch him.
