i know this has been said to death, but many people consider this to be the moment walter white becomes heisenberg. Its one of the most important in the series, he is no longer the good man he once was

iSwiftyFox

also u cant help but feel bad for all parties in this episode as well as think all parties are being an asshole. One of the best written episodes IMO

Koala Banana

He was Heisenberg the moment he turned down Gretchen and Elliot's offer. He'd prefer to kill. Walt always cares about his family a little bit, that doesn't stop. But he decides crime and murder is better than humiliation as early as episode 3.

Addiction is incredibly powerful. There's a reason people say they're recovering addicts no matter how long they've been clean. Yeah she technically had a choice but all it takes is one little pull to bring you back in.

Rogal Dorn

it abuses our basic animal instincts. addiction does however also highlight not seldom systemic issues which lead to addiction as a compensatory tool.

Can't full blame Jane cause Jessie also had some fault in It like how he was doing the meth and shit

Karen

My ex fiance was an alcoholic along with other substances. He passed away. This episode is so real. Caring for people that do drugs is hard. Tough love is the only thing that can save them. Don't be an enabler or you are part of the problem and if they don't do what they need to to get better, then cut them out of your life or they WILL drag you down with them. I broke up with him before he passed away and I only regret not doing it sooner.

A Deadly Dingus

I absolutely hate Jane. She interjected herself into Jesse's life in an incredibly short time and sunk her talons in when she heard of the huge amount of money Jesse was due to gain. It was her own fault for giving back into temptation and leading herself down the road she did. Glad she died how she did.

One key point to pay attention to in the series is walters tone of voice at certain points
