there is a series that's not cannon that would be pretty good to check out, its called Star Wars visions. season 1 gives the star wars license to multiple anime studios to make 9 shorts and season 2 does the same but with American cartoon companies

Yeah, I guess you're not wrong there. The prequel trilogy is just a better starting point for the movies alone, though they can still be enjoyed this way of course.

I think it's also Star Wars brain rot, I can't imagine knowing nothing about Star Wars and starting with Phantom Menace. That movie is barely coherent and entertaining even with context. It definitely expects you to know at least a little of the original trilogy's plot.

An even better point is why the f*** would you want to spoil the big reveal in Empire by watching the prequels first? imo watching by release date is the only way to experience the saga for the first time.

If he’s sticking with the original 6 movies the 03 clone wars is 1hr all together and has everything you need to know b4 ep 3 the final scene is literally the opening sequence of ep 3 +little bit of dooku, ventress, palpatine, and that 🔥grievous intro, most of the stuff from the newest series doesn’t factor into the original 6 movies at all just the D+shows

watching in chronological order is really cool because you wont get spoiled about anything u dont know order 66 is coming, u dont know who will live and who will die. However its not the ideal way to watch it I understand, its up to personal preference honestly. But yeah starting with the phantom menace is rough as fuckkkk
