Neji = Screw and Boruto = Bolt. As you can also see Bortuo is very similar to Naruto. It's just a play on words that also means something close to his uncle's name. While Neji isn't his real uncle, Hinata still called him brother Neji but really he was her cousin so it would be Boruto's cousin too. So it was just a name that honored her late cousin while also being close to Naruto's name.
